Safeguarding
Revoking a vetting decision or answering a review request
Withdraw a vetting confirmation, or close a member's request for a vetting review.
Revoking a confirmation
Revoke a confirmation when it should no longer count, for example after a concern.
- Open Vetting confirmations and find the member.
- Press Revoke attestation.
- Choose a Revocation reason: Community decision withdrawn, Member requested a correction, Safeguarding policy changed or Recorded in error.
- Press Revoke confirmation.
The change applies straight away. The member can no longer contact protected members who only accept vetted contact.
Review requests
A member can ask for a vetting review from the Safeguarding & support tab in their Settings. This often happens when they are blocked from contacting someone.
- Press the Re-checks requested counter, or choose Review requested in the Confirmation status filter.
- If your community has completed its checks, press Confirm attestation and record the decision.
- If not, press Resolve request. Choose a Review outcome: No change, Duplicate request or Member contacted. Then press Resolve request again to confirm.
Viewing details
Press View details to see the schemes, scope, private notes and dates for a member's current decision.
Every decision is recorded with your name and the reason. Take care, because these decisions control who can contact protected members.
This is done on the main website. The accessible site does not have this page.
