Safeguarding

What is on the Safeguarding page?

The Safeguarding page gathers flagged messages, guardian arrangements and members' choices. It needs extra access.

Safeguarding has its own section in the sidebar. Each page does one job:

  • Members' support needs: members who told us they would like extra support, what that changes for them, and whether a broker has seen it. Start here. Read each new answer, then press Mark as seen.
  • Guardians: guardian arrangements staff have recorded, and whether the member has agreed.
  • Support actions: things a supporter set up for a member, waiting for the member's yes. If the member gave you their answer by phone, in person or on paper, record it here. This is also where you note that you have seen the legal document that lets a supporter act alone.

Flagged messages are in Messages, under the Urgent tab.

When a member changes their answers

If a member changes their answers after you marked them as seen, they show as Not yet seen again. That way you never miss a change.

Other safeguarding pages

  • User Monitoring for monitoring members and turning off messaging
  • Vetting confirmations for vetting decisions
  • Safeguarding Options for the choices members see
This is done on the main website. The accessible site does not have this page.
