What happens if we disagree about the hours?
What happens when members confirm different hours, and what a coordinator can do in the Broker Panel.
If you and the other member confirm hours that are too far apart, the exchange is marked Disputed. The page says "There is a disagreement about the hours. A broker will review this."
You both get an email about it. No hours move yet.
In the Broker Panel, a broker can:
- read the exchange history and speak to both members; and
- if hours should move, adjust each member's balance with a clear reason.
The Broker Panel has no button to settle or cancel a disputed exchange. Balance adjustments do not change the exchange's Disputed status. Ask your coordinator what was done.
To avoid a dispute, agree the hours with the other member before you both confirm.
To report another kind of problem, such as someone not turning up, press Report a problem on the exchange in the phone app. The website does not have this button; contact your coordinator there.
