Exchanges
Confirming the hours
Both members confirm the time taken, then the hours move.
Once the work is marked complete, both of you confirm how long it took. Hours only move when both of you have confirmed.
- Open the exchange. You can find it in the Needs Confirmation tab of My Exchanges.
- Press Confirm Hours.
- Check the number in Hours. It starts at the proposed hours. Change it if the work took more or less time.
- Press Confirm Hours in the box.
When you have both confirmed:
- If the two numbers match, or are within a quarter of an hour, the exchange completes. Close numbers are averaged.
- If they are further apart, the exchange is marked Disputed and a broker reviews it.
Your community may limit how far the confirmed hours can differ from the proposed hours. If you enter a number outside that range, the nearest allowed number is used.
When the exchange completes, the hours move from the person who received help to the person who gave it.
If the person paying does not have enough hours, the exchange cannot complete. You will see a message, and no hours move.
