How do I block someone?

Blocking stops a member from seeing your profile, messaging you or interacting with your content.

If a member is bothering you, you can block them.

  1. Open the member's profile.
  2. Press the More options button (three dots).
  3. Press Block User.
  4. Read the message, then press Block User again to confirm.

The three-dot menu on a post in the feed cannot block anyone. It lets you mute the person instead, which only hides their posts from your feed. Muting is not the same as blocking.

What blocking does

  • They cannot see your profile.
  • They cannot send you messages.
  • They cannot interact with your content.
  • Any connection between you is removed.

Unblocking someone

  1. Open Settings, choose the Privacy tab and press Blocked Users. Or go straight to Blocked Users.
  2. Press Unblock next to the person.
  3. Confirm that you want to unblock them.

They can then see your profile and message you again. You are not reconnected automatically.

Blocking protects you, but it does not tell your community about a problem. If someone has behaved badly or made you feel unsafe, also tell a coordinator.
