Dealing with members' reports

Read reports that members make about content, then resolve or dismiss them.

Members can report content that worries them, such as a post, comment, listing, event or review. Reports arrive in Reports. Brokers and admins get a notification when a new report arrives.

Reading a report

  1. Open Reports. The counters show Total Reports, Pending, Resolved and Dismissed.
  2. Use Status and Content Type to filter, then press Apply.
  3. Press View details on a report. You see who reported it, the reported item and its author, and the reason.

Closing a report

  • Resolve: you agree there was a problem and you have dealt with it. The person who reported it is told.
  • Dismiss: you looked at it and no action is needed. The person who reported it gets a neutral message.

Each asks you to confirm.

Resolving does not remove anything

Resolving or dismissing a report only closes the report. It does not change the reported content. If content should go, remove it yourself from Feed Posts, Comments or Reviews.

If the reported item is deleted completely, the site can no longer tell who owned it. Only an admin can then close that report. Deleting a comment removes it completely. So for a report about a comment, resolve the report first, then delete the comment.

You cannot close a report you made, a report about you, or a report about something that is yours, such as your post, listing or comment, or a review you wrote or received. Leave those to another broker or an admin.
This is done on the main website. The accessible site does not have this page.
