Signing in with a passkey
Use your fingerprint, your face or your device screen lock to sign in, instead of typing a password.
A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, your face or your device's screen lock, instead of typing a password. A passkey only works on your community's real website, which helps protect you from fake sites.
Set up a passkey
- Sign in with your password as usual.
- Open Settings and choose the Security tab.
- Find Passkey Login and press Create a passkey.
- Confirm it is you, with your password or a code, then press Confirm.
- Follow the steps your device shows, for example touch the fingerprint reader or use Windows Hello.
Each device needs its own passkey, unless your passkey service copies them for you. For example, iCloud Keychain copies passkeys between Apple devices. To add another device, open this page on that device and press Add another passkey.
Sign in with a passkey
On the sign-in page, press Sign in with a passkey, then follow the steps on your device.
Manage your passkeys
On the Security tab you can Rename passkey, Remove passkey or Remove All Passkeys. After a change, you may need to sign in again on your other devices.
