Adding photos and links to a post
Attach up to 10 photos, describe them for screen readers, and share links with a preview.
You can add photos to any post, and links show a preview automatically.
Adding photos
- Open the post box on the feed.
- Press the photo area that says Click or drag photos here, or drag photos onto it.
- Choose up to 10 photos. Each one can be up to 10 MB. JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP files work.
- Drag the photos to change their order.
- Press Add alt text on each photo and describe what it shows.
- Write a few words to go with your photos.
- Press Post.
Alt text is read aloud to people who use screen readers. A short, plain description is best, for example "Volunteers planting trees in the park".
Large photos are made smaller before they upload. This can take a moment.
Adding a link
Paste a web address into your post. The platform tries to show a preview with the page's title and picture.
Some websites do not allow previews. In that case your post shows the link on its own.
