Hours and the Community Fund
Correcting a member's balance
Add or take away hours to fix a mistake in a member's balance.
If a member's balance is wrong, for example after a mistaken transfer, you can correct it.
- Open Users and find the member.
- Press the three-dot button on their row, then Edit.
- In the Time Credits card, press Adjust Balance.
- In Amount, enter the hours to add, such as 2. To take hours away, put a minus sign in front, such as -1.5.
- Write a Reason. You cannot continue without one.
- Press Apply Adjustment.
You can also do this from User Report by pressing Adjust.
What happens
- The change appears in the member's transaction history with your reason.
- The member receives a notification about it.
- A balance cannot go below zero. If you try to take away more than they have, the change is refused.
Who can do this
Admins and brokers can correct balances. Brokers cannot change their own balance.
Before you correct a balance, check the member's history and talk to the people involved. Many problems are better solved by the members sending hours back to each other.
This is done on the main website. The accessible site does not have this page.
